Owning a home is a dream that I have had for a long time. While I was excited at the prospect of owning a home, the process of buying a home was one that I found intimidating. A friend referred me to Neeraj Sood of Remax Little Oak Realty. As a first time home buyer I could not have asked for a better person to guide me through the labyrinth that is the journey to home ownership.
I met Neeraj for the first time in his office. We went through the particulars of my expectations of a new home and the budget involved. As with most first time home buyers, I was more than a little lost about the process and the true cost of home ownership.
Neeraj kindly , honestly, and very patiently broke down for me the true costs of owning a home: mortgage; contingency fund for unforeseen repairs; importance of a free hold property etc. After this we came up with a more realistic budget and our search started.
I was amazed by the systematic and time efficient way in which Neeraj conducted the search. He truly is a whiz with technology. We conducted an extensive computerized search, and Neeraj set up appointments for us to look at properties right away.
While we did not find a property on that day itself, it only took two more days of looking at properties for us to find me the perfect property. In short, about 3 weeks after my first meeting with him, Neeraj’s proficiency with technology; knowledge of the real estate market ; excellent negotiating skills; and logical systematic approach had resulted in my buying my first home very quickly and without too much running around.
As a busy working professional, time is of great value to me, and Neeraj’s approach really saved me a lot of time. His excellent negotiation skills saved me a great deal of money.
His knowledge of the law and his experience in his field meant that I had a worry free home buying experience as Neeraj took care of many troubles that arose.
